Book of Florals

Upgrade your favorite notebook with a delicate spring flower bouquet.

MATERIALS
  • Linen
  • Kraft soft-cover notebook
  • Chenille 18 needle
  • Embroidery thread
  • Embroidery scissors
  • Tacky glue

1. Transfer the pattern onto the linen fabric.

Stitch the pattern following the keys for the anemone, the tulip, the sweet pea and the Persian buttercup (see Spring Flowers in Flowers Category: Anemone, Tulip, Sweet Pea, Persian Buttercup).

3. Once the stitching of the pattern is complete, take a single strand of thread in a color of your choosing and outline the embroidery using back stitch.

4. Cut around the edge of the design, leaving a small border of fabric. Place the patch at the bottom edge of the notebook and attach by stitching French knots, using three strands of DMC Ecru worked through both the notebook cover and the linen.


USE TACKY GLUE TO SMOOTH DOWN THE EDGES OF THE EMBROIDERY PATCH ONTO THE COVER.
